Asparagus with lime and herbs

Light, delicious and flavorful spring dish. I use olive oil infused with herbs, it gives the dish a nice flavor and aroma. Lime can be substituted for the lemon, and instead of cooking in the oven you can fry in a pan for about 3-5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons rosemary leaves
  • 1 tablespoon thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Cut half of the lime into thin slices and mix with asparagus. Finely chop the rosemary leaves and add to asparagus with thyme. Squeeze the juice from

remaining half of lime, add salt and pepper and sprinkle with garlic powder, mix well. Lay the asparagus with lime and herbs on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil on top. Preheat oven to 200'C (390F) and bake the asparagus for 7 min., then flip the asparagus over and cook for another 7 minutes. If asparagus is not ready, bake an additional 3-5 minutes. Serve warm.
